Canada Post Service Disruption

Oshawa Power is committed to providing uninterrupted service and ensuring you are equipped with the resources you need to manage your Oshawa Power account during the Canada Post strike.

We are continuing to monitor negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) and encourage customers to utilize online resources during the postal workers strike. For more on the status of negotiations, visit www.canadapost.ca/negotiations.

Our online self-service options will allow you to manage your account during the postal service disruption. These resources will allow you to view your bill and account balance, make payments towards your account, and track your electricity use.

Payment Options

Worried about your payment getting caught up in the mail? We offer a variety of ways to pay your bill. You can pay your Oshawa Power bill via Pre-Authorized Payments, credit card, telephone or electronic payment, Visa/MasterCard debit, or in person at your bank or credit union. Enroll in our PAP Program

Never miss a payment on your Oshawa Power account when you enroll in our Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) Program. When you sign up, your statement balance will be automatically withdrawn from your bank account each month. Customers enrolled in our PAP Program will still receive a copy of their monthly bill. During the strike, will I still be responsible for paying my Oshawa Power bill?

Yes.

During the Canada Post strike, Oshawa Power customers are still responsible for paying their account balance before their due date. Late payment charges will still be in effect for unpaid bills.

DO NOT mail your payments to Oshawa Power during the postal service disruption.

Alternative payment options are available to pay your bill:

  • • Telephone or electronic payment
  • • Chartered banks, trust companies, and most credit unions

If I usually receive my bill by mail, how can I find out my balance and due date?

All Oshawa Power customers can access their bills, account balance, and due date through our online customer portal, MyOshawaPower. Customers registered for MyOshawaPower will also receive a monthly email notification when their electricity bill is available.

You can register for MyOshawaPower at myaccount.oshawapower.ca.

Our Customer Service team is also available to help customers manage their Oshawa Power account.

Where can I find my Oshawa Power account number?

To enroll in MyOshawaPower or make a payment on your account, you will need to have your Oshawa Power account number.

Your account number can be found at the top of your previous bill.

I am already signed up for MyOshawa Power, will this impact me?

Customers that are already enrolled in MyOshawaPower will not be impacted by a postal service disruption.

Account access and email notifications will continue as usual.

Will customers enrolled in Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP) be impacted?

No.

Customers enrolled in our PAP Program will not experience any changes with their monthly withdrawals.
